Dental Update

Amelia and I headed back to Dr. G this morning. He only fixed 1 tooth - out of the 4 that need repair, I guess he found another one when going over her x-rays. She had her first shot of Novocaine and got a crown. She did AWESOME! She cried a bit when they gave her the Novocaine, but other than that was perfect. He started her on an antibiotic for the abscess and we go back on the 15th for the next visit, she needs 2 more crowns and 1 tooth pulled. Her teeth are bad, but it is all made worse by her teeth grinding. She goes through fillings like crazy! I want to know why a little kid grinds her teeth EVERY night in her sleep. Is she that stressed? Would counseling help, or is it just a really bad habit?
I had horrible teeth as a kid too - and I really relate to how bad it is sitting in that chair. My mom had bad teeth as a kid too and she told me last night she used to make my dad take me to the dentist because she couldn't stand to watch...and I always thought it was just a special day for Dad and I to spend together;)
